Isa Mejia was born in Costa Rica, raised in Ecuador, and then continued to grow in Costa Rica. She has been living in NYC since August 2014, after getting accepted into New York University Tisch School of the Arts Photography & Imaging program. She is a proud queer, nonbinary, latinx in the process of learning how to reconcile her differences within society’s normative standards. Curious, inquisitive, and always open to new experiences, Mejia is learning to use what sets her apart to her advantage and to the benefit of her art and vision.
