D-Nice - Honorees - The Gordon Parks Foundation

From the streets of Harlem all the way to The White House, legendary artist, DJ, and photographer, Derrick “D-Nice” Jones, has moved millions on wax, on stage, and in his revolutionary virtual “Club Quarantine”. His global influence has been acknowledged time and again, including as a nominee for Time Magazine’s “2020 Person of the Year” and being named the NAACP Image Awards 2021 “Entertainer Of The Year”. 

As our world reopened, D-Nice was back to making records and rocking stages. In 2021, he took his talent from his sold out Club Quarantine Live at the Hollywood Bowl to the iconic Met and Kennedy Center Honors Galas. Last year, with the evolution of his artistry on full display, D-Nice not only got viewers around the world moving with his performance the 94th Academy Awards, he headlined and co-produced a sold out presentation of Club Quarantine Live at the legendary Carnegie Hall and made history at the Opera House at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. He rounded out 2022 with appearances on the Soul Train and American Music Awards and returned to the stage on Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve, kicking off 2023 as both the DJ and West Coast Co-Host. D-Nice followed up his 2022 CQ Live performances with a 2023 special one-night only CQ anniversary show at the historic Apollo Theater. 

D-Nice continues to innovate and inspire, leaving his indelible mark on the entertainment industry.
