Born and raised in India, 27 year old Trupal Pandya is currently studying photography at Fashion Institute of Technology in NYC and is expected to graduate in 2016. Trupal stumbled into photography 6 years ago while touring India. What started as a few travel photographs turned into a passion which led him to travel to countries like Africa, Ecuador, India, UAE, where he sought out subjects which radiated the cultures of their countries. Through photography, Trupal aims to document rarely seen communities, focusing on those standing on the edge of modernization. Trupal wants to pursue a career as a documentary and portrait photographer.
