Marley Trigg Stewart is a photographer from Pasadena, California. Trigg Stewart’s practice is concerned with exploring authorship of representation, queer legacies, and identity through portraiture. His current project, Can I Be Your Legacy? aims to establish a dialogue with image-making predecessors such as Robert Mapplethorpe and Rotimi Fani-Kayode in an attempt to reconcile previous notions of queer black identity with contemporary iterations drafted in real time. Trigg Stewart is currently pursuing his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography at Pratt Institute. He lives and works in Brooklyn, New York.
