Brooklyn resident Amber Vanterpool is a graduate of The Brooklyn Latin School and has just completed her freshman year at The New School. She has just returned from studying abroad in Ecuador as a Global Citizen Year Fellow, where she worked to provide support for local organizations. A graduate of The Ghetto Film School’s Fellows program in 2011, Amber was the editor of the thesis film "Prank," which was shot in Shanghai, China. She looks forward to using the HBO/Gordon Parks Foundation scholarship to further her creative career as a storyteller.
