Description

The Gordon Parks Foundation celebrated its Grand Opening on May 15, 2015 in Pleasantville, New York.

In addition to staying open late into the evening, we partnered with the Jacob Burns Film Center for a screening of Parks' 1968 film, A Diary of a Harlem Family, followed by a panel discussion with Mario Sprouse, Gene Young, and Leslie Parks, moderated by Jonathan Demme. A survey of Parks' work on The Learning Tree was installed in the JBFC's Jane Peck Gallery located on the third floor of the theater.
