Reverend E. F. Ledbetter Jr. is the only son of the Late Dr. E. F. Ledbetter Sr. formerly Pastor of the Metropolitan Baptist Church of the West Side of Chicago. Rev. Ledbetter began his ministry on December 17th, 1978, after receiving his calling from the Lord. On March 2, 1979, he preached his 1st sermon. It was then that he was licensed and later in 1980 he was ordained to carry out all the demands of the Gospel. Rev. Ledbetter Jr is now in his 36th year as pastor of Hebron City Christian Center. He and his wife Lydia, of 43 yrs., have 4 children. They are Monyetta, Naomi, Ernesha and Ernest III. They are also grandparents of 11. Reverend Ledbetter is a great preacher, teacher, singer, evangelist, author and more. He is known and blessed to have friends in the ministry across this country.
Reverend Ernest F. Ledbetter III, D.Min is a third generation Pastor. He accepted his call into the ministry at the tender age of 7 years old and at 12 years old preached his first public sermon. He received his bachelor’s in English Literary Studies with a Biblical Studies minor from DePaul University (2010). In March of 2014 Rev. E.F. Ledbetter III would make history by becoming the youngest pastor of the historic Mt. Pisgah Missionary Baptist Church located on the southside of Chicago in the Bronzeville community. He also received his master’s in Christian Community Development from Northern Baptist Theological Seminary (2014). He attained his doctorate in New Testament Context also at Northern Baptist Theological Seminary (2021).
