Penelope Blackwell is a Washington, D.C. native and an M.S. student at Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism. She graduated from Morgan State University in 2019. During her time at Morgan State, she served as the editor-in-chief of the MSU Spokesman, the university’s student newspaper. Blackwell has also produced content for Carnegie-Knight’s News21, the National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ) and WEAA 88.9 FM.
