Janessa Rivera is a 13-year-old middle school student and a first year HSA Prep Visual Arts student from West Harlem. She has challenged herself with advanced courses such as graphic design, art history, sculpture, photography, and The City and the Artist in her time at HSA. Through HSA, she has participated in two arts exhibitions, one at Columbia University and another at the National Black Theatre.
