Imani Gabrielle Smith is a fellow at Ghetto Film School (GFS) where she pursues her passions for filmmaking and storytelling. She grew up in Queens, NY where her creative spark of making videos at home turned her to the path of film. Imani furthered her interest in film at Frank Sinatra School of the Arts High School and will be graduating this year. So far, Imani has directed the short Trash Boy at Ghetto Film School, which screened at The Alamo Drafthouse in Brooklyn this past Fall. She's
currently editing a short that was shot on location at The Frick Collection and looks forward to continuing her creative journey.
