Amanda Gorman - Scholars - The Gordon Parks Foundation

Amanda Gorman, an 18-year-old writer, is the Inaugural Los Angeles Youth Poet Laureate and author of the poetry collection The One for Whome Food is Not Enough (Penmanship Books). She is Founder and Executive Director of One Pen One Page, a nonprofit and online teen lit magazine hosting creative writing programs in the United States, Afghanistan, and Kenya. She has served asa a United Nations Youth Delegate in New York City and an ANNpower Fellow in Washington D.C., and London. She has appeared on The Today Show, ABC Family, and Nickelodeon, and is a teen editor and Ambassador for School of Doodle. She will attend Harvard University this fall.
